Having worked with Smart Home Technology for the last 12 years, starting out with fanciful ideas of simplicity and interoperability I have been dismayed and excited in equal parts over those years.
The world does seem to be on a better path than it was with closed systems like Control4 and RTI and we are now moving away from narrow eco systems that grew up around Alex, Google and Apple to a more open and interoperable home and hopefully that will all be accelerated with Matter.
